GOD AGAIN

I believe God is whole.  If God is whole, It must be both male and female, and a compatible medium of the two.  Perhaps God is neither.  That works for me as well.  If God is equally both, then the one might cancel the other.  But there is no possibility in my mind, that God could be a He any more than It could be a She.  If  It's either, then God is not whole.  God could be neither and be whole, or God could be both and be whole.  But if we are the reflection of God as suggested in Genesis, then God must be both.  In fact, the name of God (Elohim), in Hebrew, is a uniplural noun having both genders.  A uniplural noun is a noun such as "family", "group", "brotherhood", etc.  And, as is the case in the German language, Hebrew also suggests gender in it's nouns.   The word Elohim does exactly that: "EL" masculine and "Ohi" feminine, with the "M" at the end making it plural.  This might explain why God refers to Itself in the plural throughout the 'creation' story of Genesis.

I believe God is still in It's evolution and that we exist for the purpose of facilitating that or that we might be a function of God's becoming aware of itself.  The nature of the universe is constant change, and so, if God created the universe (and I'm not sure that universe didn't create God), then would God not be bound by the  laws of the universe?  The very laws which God Itself created?

I believe, if God is whole, then God must be the source of both Yin and Yang.  God must be Yin and Yang.  How could God be anything less than both, and a perfect balance of the two?  This would suggest that God is the medium of both good and evil.  A very difficult concept for most to accept,  but how could it be otherwise?  Unless perhaps,  evil isn't even real.  Maybe evil is nothing more than the absence of good in the same way that darkness isn't real, for darkness is nothing other than the absence of light.  Think about it.  The bible tells us that God created archangels and that one of these archangels was Lucifer.  And, so the story goes, Lucifer sought to  overthrow God, and after being defeated was cast out of heaven.   So, according to the bible, God created for Itself an alter ego.  An adversary.  I have to ask at this point, "why".  This makes no sense to me.  If there is a God, and God created the universe (and I'm still not convinced that the universe didn't create God),  then why would this God create an adversary to be in eternal conflict with It and It's own creation?  Maybe God didn't create an adversary at all, supporting the idea that evil isn't even real.

Evil is relative.  It is defined by the human condition.  Pain and suffering, whether self induced or inflicted upon others is evil.  But religion has taken this definition a bit further to include a definition of morality.  For example, when the Christian crusaders and British colonizers (also Christian) moved into the jungles of Africa and found the indigenous people of that continent running around naked, it was deemed to be evil.  So those nudists were converted to Christianity and  were taught to wear clothes.  But the crusaders and the colonizers brought many diseases to that part of the world.  Diseases never before known in those regions.  The same thing happened in the Americas and islands of the south pacific such as in Hawaii.  So which was the real evil?  Was it nudity or was it sexual relations (usually rape) with the indigenous peoples of these parts of the world?  Was nudity the evil or was the real evil brought by the Christian crusaders, missionaries and colonizers?

I'd like to suggest here that evil is part of what man is.  Not anything having to do with God.  I don't believe there is a devil, and I don't believe that God is half evil.  I believe that evil (if it exists) is an inherent nature of man, not of God, and that evil (being relative) is not always evil.  If there is a God, and It created humankind as humankind is, then evil is nothing more than a component of (and defined by) the human condition.  I can't see that God can be defined as inherently good or inherently evil.  I think that God just is, and that good and evil are a product of the psyche and condition of humans.

All in all, I don't know and would not pretend to know what God is.  I can speculate, but I don't have what it takes to know.  I don't know that God created the universe or if the universe created God.  And if it was the latter, then the universe itself could be God.  What I do know is this:  If there is a God, It preceded me, and It didn't give me anything but my feeble mind with which to speculate what God might be.  And I can only laugh at all the pious, self righteous, sanctimonious, and self important faithful who believe God gave them anything more than what God gave me. They don't know any more than I do, and basing their belief on faith alone, having never really questioned (in most cases), or tried to analyze God and the nature of It's existence, these religious faithful are a complete waste of my time.  And if there is a devil, I'm quite sure he's laughing himself giddy at all the pain and suffering that has been inflicted upon innocent humans for thousands of years  in the name of God and some ridiculous, man-made religious belief system.
